Winter has officially started. I hope you’re as stoked as everyone here at MODA3 is!!
If you’re in the UWM area, tonight is the third installment of Rubbin’ & Bumpin’ at the Miramar Theatre. I was at the first party a few months back, it was bananas! Once again the sweaty dance party is provided by RichardRichard (The Glamour/ Cheap Thrills), DoubleDrop, and Slym. Capacity at the Miramar gets maxed out pretty early so scoop your tickets now!
Also tonight, “the lovable queen of mean,” Lisa Lampanelli, will be performing at the Riverside Theatre. I hear this woman is ridiculous and borderline inappropriate, but funny. If you and your buddies can handle a bit of irreverent name-calling, tonight’s your night.
Saturday night, representing the Rhymesayers family, Eyedea and Abilities will be in town. Both from the Twin Cities area, Eyedea is a freestyle battle champion and DJ Abilities is best known as one of the best battle DJs in the Midwest; combining two ends of the spectrum, this show will not disappoint. The duo comes to town often but don’t miss your opportunity to see them at The Cactus Club tomorrow night accompanied by Bay Area, Themselves and local, Def Harmonic! I’m super excited for this one.
All weekend long MODA3‘s neighborhood will be having their annual Christmas Celebration. There’s too much going on to name it all but I can guarantee you a radioactive-looking tree, hot cocoa, and FIREWORKS! Swing by the shop if you’re in the area!
I know this post is all about showcasing how rad Milwaukee is but… this might be the first weekend to get out on your shred stick! Word is that Alpine Valley, Tyrol Basin, and Devil’s Head will be open normal business hours! Yes!
