since 1966.

Vans has been a household name in footwear since before I was born. They are pretty much the originators of the vulcanized sole and have become the “go-to” shoe for nearly all of us at some point of our lives. We just received our first batch of spring classics and they do not disappoint.

First up we have the city pack. The Grey and Red represent Philly while the Brown and Yellow rep San Diego.

Chillfest

Chillfest, not Chilifest, is going down this Saturday at Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc. In addition to the recycled cardboard race (always a crowd pleaser and Warren Miller favorite) there is going to be a pretty heavy hitting slopestyle and big air contest. We’ll be there all day spreading the love with Red Bull and the Empire Collective. Stop by, pound an energy shot, slap some fives and grab some stickers.

As an added bonus, you stand a chance of being in the background of a ‘Nationally known reality show’ as the show will be filming the finale of their monthlong episode on Saturday.

admiral 6pak.

And I’m not talking about a hockey ticket package! We had a few DC Admiral’s show up a few weeks ago and they have been the talk of the town ever since. Just today we received the grey, perforated leather Admiral 6pak. With an ice bottom. I don’t even think I need to tell you that these will go fast.

He’s got a few titles… Head Honcho, Boss, General Manager, Keylo and today we can add Birthday Boy to the list. Today is Eric’s golden 31st birthday! If you weren’t at the Red Dot last night, you missed out on the celebration of the year thus far. Chances are Keylo is going to be loungin’ all day at his crib watching the Pro Bowl.

milwaukee weekend hip haps.

“The Hollowz” EP release party is tonight at The Cactus Club . Performances by Kid Millions, KHB, DJ Seoul K and, according to the A.V. club, DJ Logic. This venue is one of Bayview’s hidden treasures with a wicked concert calendar and some serious boom.

If you haven’t heard yet, Shaun White is making an appearance at MODA3 downtown… through a 60 inch plasma screen. Check out Project X at 1pm.

Why is he posing with a mannequin?

This is pretty random.

hip hop for haiti.

The current state of Haiti is such a tragedy and the victims are in dire need of help. It’s great to see all the support nationally and there are tons of opportunities to give your support locally. There are benefit shows and fundraisers happening around the city and TONIGHT at Stonefly is Help for Haiti. As if just helping out the people of Haiti isn’t enough, the bill for tonight is stacked with local artists performing together for the first time!

Help out your fellow man while taking in the sights and sounds of Milwaukee’s best hip hop artists, Help for Haiti is definitely worth your time. It’s only a $5 donation to get in.
